Lexington Park resident Lakesha Denise Savoy was arrested on Wednesday following a probe into drug trafficking and distribution throughout the area following the execution of two warrants.

Earlier this month, Savoy was arrested on multiple drug charges during a traffic stop while driving on Midway Drive.

Officials say that on, April 17, deputies and specialized from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office served a search warrant on Savoy for her suspected dealings, while also simultaneously executing a warrant at a home in the 46000 block of Robert Leon Drive in Lexington Park.

On Wednesday, Savoy was taken into custody without incident with cash and multiple cell phones on her. Numerous digital scales containing suspected CDS residue, suspected fentanyl, crack cocaine, and Suboxone (buprenorphine) in "sufficient quantities and packaged in a manner indicative of an intent to distribute" were recovered from the residence, investigators said.

The 37-year-old was charged with three three felony counts of CDS possession with intent to distribute and is being held at the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center in Leonardtown.
